The Trees and Shrubs

The Trees and Shrubs are trying to make a comeback, but most will die off due to the storm surge.
Water always follows salt, so when the surge (Gulf Saltwater) swallowed the Island, most plants could not handle it. I have seen some species
starting to sprout new leaves again, but sadly most will die.

I took all these picture today, Christmas 2008. So you can still the aftermath 3 months later.
Remember that so many are still displaced from the hurricane on Christmas Day.

This Sega Palm has started to sprout new leaves
